Future Fest
Join South LA Building Healthy Communities for a rally, march and community festival as we build toward a vision for the next 25 years for South LA.

On the 25th anniversary of the 1992 LA Uprising, we’re bringing together the South LA Community for Future Fest.

 

A rally, march and community festival to signify the historical importance of April 29th and to build community commitment to a vision for South LA’s future.

A future that is innovative, inclusive and community-led.

When: Saturday, April 29, 2017 – 10:30am to 5pm

  • 10:30am – Gathering
  • 11am to 12pm: Rally Point
  • 12pm to 1pm: March
  • 1pm to 5pm: Future Fest

Future Fest is a community festival that will combine arts, advocacy, and community to celebrate South LA’s resilience, lift-up our community’s collective vision, and discuss community priorities for change to move forward. We’ll highlight a vision for transformation and health which preserves the integrity of the poor and working class people in our neighborhoods and points toward a future for the entire city that builds on South LA’s unique models of cross-racial unity and of model community-driven solutions.

En el 25 aniversario del Levantamiento de Los Ángeles de 1992, reuniremos a la comunidad del Sur de Los Ángeles para el Festival del Futuro.

 

Un rally, una manifestaciones y festival comunitario para conmemorar la importancia histórica del 29 de Abril y para construir un compromiso comunitario con una visión para el futuro del Sur de Los Ángeles.

Un futuro innovador, inclusivo y una transformacion liderada por la comunidad.

Festival del Futuro es un festival comunitario que combinará las artes, la defensa y la comunidad para celebrar la resiliencia del Sur de Los Ángeles, elevar la visión colectiva de nuestra comunidad y discutir las prioridades de la comunidad para que el cambio avance. Destacaremos una visión para la transformación y la salud que preserva la integridad de los pobres y la gente de la clase trabajadora en nuestra comunidad y apunta hacia un futuro para toda la ciudad que se basa en los modelos únicos del Sur de Los Ángeles de unidad racial y de soluciones impulsadas por la comunidad.
